The Underwriting Committee

  • Benefit’s Underwriting Committee, is the firm’s highest instance, authorized to approve financing requests.
  • The Committee is consulted by a team of leading judges, who served on the Supreme Court and other courts in Israel and across the world.
  • The underwriting process includes a permanent team of consultants, as well as ad hoc advisors, who review the financing request and decide whether to approve it and under what conditions.
  • The underwriting process enables Benefit to enhance the chances of a successful lawsuit for its clients.

Mr. Tamir Prado – Former Director of the Mossad

Served as Director of the Mossad Institute for Intelligence and Special Operations.

Mr. Prado served in Israel’s security forces for 43 years, starting as a fighter in General Staff Reconnaissance Unit 269 [Sayeret Matkal] and going on to be one of the founders of the Shaldag Elite Unit. 

In 1980, he was recruited to the Mossad, where he remained until 2016, serving his last five years of service as Head of the Mossad Institute for Intelligence and Special Operations.

Mr. Ron Hacham – Israel Tax Authority's Former Head of Investigations and Intelligence Division

Served as the Israel Tax Authority’s Head of Investigations and Intelligence Division for 36 years (both, in the criminnal and ciliv sector). His final seven years in the Authority were served as Senior VP of Investigations, Intelligence, Drugs and Money Laundering; managing all the investigation and intelligence divisions in the Income Tax, VAT and Customs Authorities. He established and managed the Tax Authority’s Anti-Money Laundering Division and served as the Authority’s representative before international organizations.

Hezi Kalo served as Director General of the Bank of Israel during the years 2008-2020, under Bank Governors, Prof. Stanley Fischer, Prof. Karnit Flug and Prof. Yaron.

Prior to being elected as Director General of the Bank of Israel, he served as VP in Clalit Health Services for 11 years and before that, worked for the General Security Services in various positions as Division Head (equivalent to a Brigadier General in the IDF).
